Commentary: Taking Necessary Steps

by Robert Caruso

As our world turns a corner in its development so does Changing Times Magazine. When i started C.T.M. back in 2007 it was a completely metaphysical online magazine. I got a lot of great reviews and had some extremely insightful writers. In the past two years new writers were brought on and some were eliminated.

The format now for Changing Times is based on metaphysical and quantum physical principles and how these concepts are used or needed to right the wrongs of a society that is based on selfishness and the bottom line.

We will highlight people who are making a difference and calling your attention to things that need to be addressed. For example, the insurance provider that won’t insure a child because she was born too small. Or that we all pay income taxes when there is absolutely no law written to govern that other than the policies of the IRS.

Our society has many ills and a lot of people have ideas to fix the situation but because of their lifestyle or level of education, they will never be heard. Why do we trust a politician to make lifestyle changing laws for inner city families when he has no clue what it would be like to live like them?

Obviously we can't.

It has always been that the few govern the many, which leaves the majority of the population at the mercy of lawmakers with special interest companies telling them how to vote. It is time to hold elected officials accountable.

We need to build connections and affiliations with people, teachers, and venues of like mind. We need to band together in the task of making this a world for everyone, not just for the rich and crafty.

In what ways are you taking steps to make a difference? How are you contributing to the betterment of society? Do you know someone who is? What questions do you have? Contact me and let me know. Let’s continue to share ideas and keep the dialog going, taking action and encouraging others to do what they can. Thank you.
