Just this morning one of our members sent me an e-mail asking what the focus of the network was. Her question was, "The site's name is "Changing Times." Should we be trying to change the times? I think the message is getting a bit skewed. It's great to reach out to each other and all, but why is this site here? Is it for verbal cuddling or is it to discuss shit that really holds some concern?
Here it is.
I created the Changing Times Network and Changing Times Magazine in anticipation of the coming times. It doesn’t take a genius to see that life as we know it in this country and around the world is about to change. My vision of this site, although based on metaphysical principles, differs from a lot of metaphysicians. I believe we should use and share our beliefs, insights and principles to deal with issues and not as an excuse to hide from them.
Absolutely every change in the world that has mattered, started with people that used these principles to lead a movement for peaceful change. If Gandhi just sat back and waited for the angels to save them would India even have their own way of life free of the parasitical influence of Britton. It was through his quiet but determined pressure on the powers and fearless devotion to his cause that things changed for his country forever. If Martin Luther King had of stayed in his church and just prayed it is a good bet that Barack Obama would be bussing tables instead of being elected President of the United States.
Sometimes people need verbal cuddling and support and we are definitely here for that. But it is our hope that the result of the verbal cuddling will lead to strong individuals that are strong enough to stand up for their rights and the right of the masses. Because it is when people find out they have their own mind and power that the era of living as drones and sheep at the mercy of violent controlling powers will be eradicated. Why are we here if not to learn, understand and use our power of creation?
